Automobile Insurance - Savings Due To Superior Understanding

Wednesday, April 30th, 2003

That you can save up to and above $2,000 on your automobile insurance is a fact. However, the important thing is whether you too can make even a fraction of such massive savings. You can if you take out time to understand the little things that really help you make massive savings. I ll share two with you here…

There are different levels of insurance coverage in auto insurance. You can take a comprehensive package or even include several special add-ons. At the other end of the spectrum, you can just go for a third party only cover where the law allows that. But you must be very careful. The minimum required by law sometimes is certainly not good enough for you. The key is knowing when the minimum is the best and when you need as much coverage as you can get.

If you have an old car (I m not talking about classics here — Those ones really do belong to a special class) then you will really do well to get the very minimum required by law. If the minimum is third party only coverage, (more...)

Travel Insurance - Is It Necessary?

Wednesday, April 30th, 2003

Have you ever purchased travel insurance? If you have not, you are not alone. Most people never purchase travel insurance and many of those experience few difficulties as a result. But there are some instances where it is definitely in your best interest to purchase insurance to protect you when you travel. This type of insurance can cover lost luggage and valuables, injury and illness, car accidents, and cancelled or interrupted trips among other things. Choose your travel insurance carefully to meet the needs of you and your family.

Before you purchase insurance you will need to evaluate the overall expense of your trip. If you are just taking a quick trip that you found a great deal on, it may not be worth it for you to purchase travel insurance. On the other hand, if you are heading out for a month long trip to the Greek Isles, you should probably consider getting insurance. Think about how it would affect you in the pocketbook if something were to happen.

Terminally Ill Coverage Insurance Plans

Tuesday, April 29th, 2003

Statistics has shown that 1 in 3 American Citizens are projected to fall victim of cancerous ills. Due to the ongoing rise in illnesses, including newfound diseases the companies are designing policies that will offer families and individuals the coverage they will need in difficult times. Not one single person on the face of the earth can say if they will be the 1 in 3, therefore, coverage now is better than waiting until it is too late.

The current policies that are making the news today are the Critical Illness Plans that are often offered with Life Insurance. The policy will cover transportation to and from hospitals if inpatient or outpatient is needed, including the cost the family or mate will need to visit. The coverage will also cover medical treatment and procedures, including in-home care, nurse visits, vacations, car and home modifications, and more. Since our air is filled with contaminations that are claiming health everyday, we can never feel it is too late to get coverage. Many of t (more...)

Previous Insurance Injuries

Tuesday, April 29th, 2003

If you have previous injuries prior to taking out life insurance, be ware that you will pay higher premiums if you are accepted for a policy. Thus, most people that pose a risk are labeled under the “Rated Acceptance Terms,” which means that you are a higher than average risk and you will pay higher premiums for coverage.

Sounds unfair and to a degree it is if you were victimized in an incident. Still, you will receive the Rated premiums if you have previous injuries. Most insurance companies may require that you take a medical examination, even if they have reviewed your medical records. Therefore, it pays to be honest to avoid losing your chance of getting coverage. After all, the coverage now will add up later when your family needs it the most. As a candidate under the Rated premiums, I my self would prefer to pay higher premiums now and avoid stress to my family later. I experienced the most frustrating experience of life when my mother passed on, and my father had no life insuranc (more...)

Short Term Health Insurance Coverage

Monday, April 28th, 2003

Short term insurance coverage is ideal for people who are in transition and acts as a stopgap arrangement for people on the lookout for an ideal long term insurance policy. The insurance coverage ranges from emergency medicine, prescription drugs, intensive care, lab and x-ray, ambulance and to some home and hospital care. Most short term health insurance policies are considered as “indemnity plans” (fee-for-service) that help a person in selecting any doctor or hospital he likes. Many of the short term health insurance policies are flexible and can extend coverage to spouse and dependents.

Due to its low cost, the short term health insurance coverage does not support dental or optical care, and preventative care like physical exams, immunizations and PAP tests. One of the important aspects to remember while taking a short term health insurance policy is that it does not cover any pre-existing medical conditions. Most short term health insurance coverage is only available to people und (more...)

Shop Around and Save on Home Insurance

Monday, April 28th, 2003

What do you like the most about your home - the bright, sun-filled kitchen, the shiny wood floors or the comfortable bedrooms?

Or is it the fact that your home probably makes up maybe the biggest part - of your total net worth?

Either way, you have to protect what you have, using homeowner s insurance.

Although there were reports a few years ago of higher prices and limited availability for homeowners insurance, the market has opened up again, according to J. Robert Hunter, insurance director for the Consumer Federation of America. Premiums are expected to rise by no more than the inflation rate this year, he said.

“The market remains a competitive one where homeowners insurance shoppers can be selective,” said Marshall McKnight, a spokesman for the state Department of Banking and Insurance.

Here are several ways to save on home insurance:

Shop around. While many homeowners believe that all insurance companies charge the same, that s an expensive mist (more...)
